Ishan Kishan To Play With Shubman Gill; Reports Suggest India Comeback Soon

On Saturday, star Mumbai Indians opener, Ishan Kishan made headlines as he announced his comeback in the cricketing set-up by revealing that he will be making an appearance in domestic cricket for Jharkhand.

Now, fresh set of reports by Cricbuzz have revealed that Ishan Kishan might make a comeback in the Indian set up once he starts playing domestic cricket. 

Previously, Kishan announced his decision to take an indefinite break from cricket because of which he was snubbed from BCCI's central contract along with other notable names including Shreyas Iyer. Now, reports suggesting his potential comeback are emerging.

Ishan Kishan Could Return To Team India 


Ishan was last seen playing for India against Afghanistan at the 2023 ODI World Cup, along with a couple of other games in the tournament.

Currently, he plays in the prestigious Indian Premier League for the Mumbai Indians franchise. In the 2024 season, the wicket-keeper batter scored a total of 320 runs from 14 game at a strike rate of 148. His highest score of the tournament was 69.

Meanwhile, the Men In Blue are in Sri Lanka for the three match ODI series. The second ODI game will be played on 4 August at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
