Gudakesh Motie has had a great outing in the ongoing Test match between England and West Indies on Thursday, July 11, at the iconic Lord's.

Motie dismissed England's captain, Ben Stokes and set the tone for his impressive performance. He followed this up with a crucial wicket, as he clean bowled Joe Root during the 67th over.

Root was deceived by a fuller-length arm ball, which was pitched on the off stump and went straight through the gate. It hit the off stump as Root's attempted drive through the off side did not connect.

This dismissal marked England's sixth wicket, with Motie played a key role in turning the game in favour of the West Indies.

At the time of writing, England go into lunch at 293/6, leading by 172 runs. In this session, England batters Harry Brook and Joe Root displayed some aggressive batting with Brook reaching his half-century in just 55 balls.

However, West Indies' left-arm spinner made a crucial impact as he dismissed both skipper Ben Stokes and Joe Root reducing England to 287/6.

Debutant Jamie Smith has scored an unbeaten 16 off 43 balls along with Chris Woakes at the crease.
