Thousands of Indian fans are enjoying the Men in Blue’s scintillating run in the World Cup 2023 at home. However, at the same time, plenty of people are raising concerns about Hardik Pandya, who sustained a heartbreaking injury in Pune and has not played a single game since October 19.

When will Hardik Pandya be back in action? The question came when Rohit Sharma came at a press conference ahead of their World Cup clash against Sri Lanka. To respond, the Men in Blue skipper assured a lot of fans.

First of all, Rohit confirmed that Hardik won’t play in the Sri Lanka fixture, as he is not fully recovered yet. However, the entire team management is really happy about Hardik’s progress, and they are hoping to see him return very soon, even before the knockout stages.

“Very positive but Hardik Pandya is unavailable for tomorrow's match. It’s the kind of injury where we are monitoring him on a day-to-day basis. Hopefully, he will be back soon.”

India, under Rohit Sharma's leadership, will play Sri Lanka at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday (November 2) in Match 33 of the World Cup 2023.
