Marco Jansen continued to impress in the ongoing World Cup 2023 for South Africa, as he got the big wicket of Devon Conway on Wednesday (November 1) during their World Cup clash against New Zealand in Pune.

However, courtesy of Aiden Markram’s superb diving catch, Jansen saw the early success as their proper teamwork reaped rewards.

During the 3rd over of New Zealand’s innings, Jansen bowled a length delivery towards Conway. The Kiwi opener tried to push it while going back foot but was outfoxed by the extra bounce generated by the 6-foot-eight-inch tall fast bowler.

As a result, Conway got a thick outside edge, and Aiden Markram, placed at second slip, dived to his left to take a spectacular diving catch.

New Zealand were chasing a monumental target of 358, and losing Conway for a paltry six-ball two was surely a massive setback.

As of writing, the Black Caps have reached 38/1 after eight overs, with Will Young and Rachin Ravindra in the middle, on 27* and 4* respectively. They still require 320 runs to pull off a miraculous task.
