The preparations for the upcoming edition of the Delhi Premier League are in full swing. The first season was a major hit, and the DDCA has planned big things for the next edition.

The inaugural year produced superstars like Priyansh Arya and Digvesh Rathi, who went on to create a name for themselves in IPL 2025. Thus, with the same expectations, the DDCA has introduced two new teams - Outer Delhi Warriors and New Delhi Tigers.

Recently, the league also held a successful auction, and the upcoming season will feature the likes of Rishabh Pant, Ayush Badoni, Digvesh Rathi, and Priyansh Arya.

DDCA Head Speaks About Virat Kohli In DPL

The league is getting bigger and bigger, and in the latest events, DDCA chief Rohan Jaitley has spoken on the possibility of Virat Kohli's participation in DPL.

Rohan Jaitey remarked that it would be great for a player of Virat Kohli's stature to feature in DPL.

"We would be the happiest if he participates, but for a person of his stature, mentorship and guidance to younger cricketers is far more important. And I am sure he is very much involved in Delhi cricket as he was earlier on. There is no distinction, and he is there for daily cricket whenever required," remarked Rohan Jaitley, speaking to News18.

Virat Kohli's Family Makes Way Into The DPL

While the fans might have to wait for Virat Kohli in the Delhi Premier League, the Kohli family has made their way into Delhi's premier T20 league as Virat's 15-year-old nephew Aaryavir Kohli registered for the auction and was picked up by South Delhi Superstarz for one lakh. Aaryavir will play under the leadership of Ayush Badoni, who will lead the Superstarz.

Nonetheless, Virat is also quite active with Delhi Cricket in recent times as he also appeared for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy before making his Test retirement.
