Following his exclusion from India's T20 World Cup squad, Kolkata Knight Riders' finisher Rinku Singh struggles with a run of poor form.

Even after being a regular in India's T20I setup for some time, Rinku Singh was overlooked for World Cup squad in favor of players like Shivam Dube and Sanju Samson, with the squad heavily emphasizing spin options as per captain Rohit Sharma's preference.

Despite facing setbacks including exclusion from the national team and a string of poor performances, Rinku Singh remains optimistic.

Rinku remains positive after T20 WC Snub

Rinku harbors a strong desire to contribute to India's success and dreams of lifting a major trophy, determined to earn it with his own hands.

"Since I have played cricket, I have won some trophies at junior level. But not at the senior level. I am going to the World Cup. I want to hold the WC trophy, I hope we win. My dream is to win a big trophy for my country and lift it in my hands," said Rinku in a video on the IPL website.

He added: "Time uska kharab hota hai jiske haat pair nahi hote. Hamara time kharab nahi hai."

After a stellar breakout season last year, Rinku Singh's form took a dip this season, managing only 168 runs from 11 innings.

Despite the setback, he retains hope for redemption as Kolkata Knight Riders has reached the IPL playoffs leading the points table. With the first qualifier against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) tonight, Rinku Singh will see it as a chance to turn the tide and contribute to KKR's playoff journey.
