Sourav Ganguly Opines On The Selection Of T20 World Cup Squad

The former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly, praised Rohit Sharma and the Indian team's management for the squad selected for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

The former BCCI president also expressed himself and stated that this is the fairest team that the selectors could have selected and he also showed solicitude for Rinku Singh

“I think this is one of the fairest teams I have seen. I am not saying other teams are not fair. I think the selectors and Rohit have done a fantastic job in picking this side. I think Rinku missed out because they wanted to go with another spinner. But Rinku is in standby, so fingers crossed. It is just the beginning of Rinku's career.

He believes that Rinku Singh has a lot of capability and ability left in him to play for the national team.

He also agreed with Ajit Agarkar and Rohit Sharma's explanation regarding picking an extra spinner as the track in the USA and Caribbean is expected to be a spin-friendly condition in the West Indies.

He will play a lot for India. I think he should not be disheartened with this. But I think this is a very strong team, solid team,” Ganguly said .
