As the cricket’s biggest rivalry is just one sleep away, the cricket world can’t keep calm. From predictions to the team’s analyses are going on everywhere. As fingers are crossed ahead of the iconic clash, Sunday will be more entertaining with the clash.

On February 23, the cricket world is gearing up for another new chapter of cricket’s biggest rivalry. Before that, ace Pakistani bowler Mohammad Amir’s recent take on the winner of this rivalry grabbed the attention.

Amir On India Pakistan Clash

In the ongoing tournament, India and Pakistan’s journey started differently. Before that, stepping into the upcoming clash, Team India registered a thrilling victory against Bangladesh and Pakistan started their journey with a disappointing defeat. Before the encounter goes live, Mohammad Amir predicts the winner.

“On the day of a match between India and Pakistan, the team that makes fewer mistakes wins,” Amir said.

Despite India's strong start, there are areas to refine before the much-anticipated clash. While reflecting on this high-voltage showdown, Mohammad Amir believes that despite some concerns, India remains a strong side on paper.

“The Indian team looks strong on paper. If we look at their performance in bilateral series, they have played well, but they made a lot of mistakes in their first match against Bangladesh. Now, with a high-pressure match against Pakistan coming up, if India repeats the same mistakes, Pakistan will have a chance to win.” Amir added.

On Pakistan’s Playing XI Against India

Just before the high-stake clash against India, the ‘Men in Green’ faced a huge setback as Fakhar Zaman has been ruled from the tournament. Imam ul Haq has been replaced him. Despite this significant shake-up, Mohammad Amir believes Pakistan won’t make drastic changes to their lineup, aside from adjusting to fill Fakhar’s spot in the playing XI.

“There will hardly be any changes in the team. Either Imam-ul-Haq or Usman Khan can play. The rest of the team will remain unchanged.” Amir added.

Before going on the big stage, Pakistan is holding an edge with 3 wins in five Champions Trophy encounters. Conversely, India ended up winning twice. As the match is set to go on the stage, it will be interesting to see if India levels up the stats or if Pakistan keeps their domination alive.
