Pakistan's opening woes have deepened with yet another player getting ruled out of the Champions Trophy due to an injury. Prior to the tournament, Pakistan's hopes relied on the shoulders of Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman, however, Saim got ruled out before the mega event commenced and on Wednesday, Pakistan suffered a jolt in the form of Fakhar's injury.

The Pakistan opener dived in to save a ball in the first over of the tournament, but he injured his knee and was ruled out of the Champions Trophy. As a result, the PCB pressed the panic button and called Imam-ul-Haq in the side to replace the injured player.
