Former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik took a cheeky dig at Bangladesh on Monday (July 31) with a hilarious Twitter post.

It all happened when a snake interrupted the proceedings in Sri Lanka during a Lankan Premier League (LPL) fixture.

Taking a dig at Bangladesh, Karthik wrote:

"The naagin is back. I thought it was in Bangladesh 🤣😂🤣😂🤣"

Karthik was obviously making a reference to his epic knock against Bangladesh in the 2018 Nidahas Trophy final where he silenced the Bangladeshi players and their fans with his epic last-ball finish.

The Bangladeshis are known to do "naagin dance' every time they are in front during a game.

Back in 2018, the Tigers were on the cusp of a major heist in the final against big brothers India, until DK arrived at the crease.

Chasing 167 to win, India still needed 34 runs off the last 12 deliveries when Karthik came to the middle.

What happened next is now a part of folklore as Karthik swept, flicked and drove his team to a magical win on the last delivery of the game.

Needing 5 to win, DK creamed Soumya Sarkar for a six over extra-cover to win the game for India, and etch his name into the annals of Indian folklore forever.
