The ongoing Ashes series has been a saga of contrasting approaches from both sides, and it was on full display during the first innings of the Oval Test where England's run-rate was nearly double as compared to Australia's.
While England cantered at excess of 5 runs per over in both their innings, the Australian batsmen were pretty defensive in their approach on the 2nd day.
The posterboy of Australia's defensive batting was undeniably Marnus Labuschagne, who huffed and puffed his way to an 82-ball 9.
Labuschagne and opener Usman Khawaja set the tone in the morning session of the 2nd day with their dour batting, and the Oval crowd made it a point to taunt the duo as they were leaving the ground at the end of the 3rd day.
One spectator was clearly not impressed with the duo's approach, and he immediately yelled "boring" to taunt them.
Labuschagne didn't hold back either as he rebutted by saying:
"What did you say? What did you say mate?” You’re just about to go at everyone else,” added Labuschagne.

Meanwhile, Khawaja, and his fellow partner David Warner have given Australia a brilliant start to their run-chase of 384.
At the time of writing, Australia are 135 for no loss, and they still need 249 runs to win the Test.
