In a stunning victory, India has clinched the five-match Test series against England with a commanding 4-1 lead, dominating the final match in Dharamsala. The comprehensive win came as India showcased their prowess in all aspects of the game over the last three days.

Highlighting India's stellar performance, skipper Rohit Sharma expressed his satisfaction during the post-match presentation, stating,

"Honestly, a lot of things have fallen into place. To do well in a Test series, it is a must. That is why I am standing here."

Reflecting on the team's triumph, skipper Rohit Sharma attributed the success to the collective effort, stating, "The credit goes to the entire team, and it was pleasing to see."

He emphasized the significance of taking 20 wickets to win a Test match, acknowledging the bowlers' exceptional performance. "When you win a series like this, we talk about scoring runs and 100s, but it is important to take 20 wickets to win a Test. The way bowlers took responsibility was pleasing to see," Rohit remarked.

The series was marked by exceptional performances from numerous players, with young talent shining bright. Yashasvi Jaiswal emerged as a standout performer, supported by the likes of Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Ashwin, Jadeja, and Kuldeep.

Additionally, debutants Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel, Akash Deep, and Devdutt Padikkal made impressive contributions to India's triumph.

Reflecting on the series, Rohit Sharma praised the resilience of the young players, acknowledging their ability to thrive under pressure.

"It's good to see a lot of young guys, inexperienced ones, come and express themselves. When put under pressure, they came on top. They put their hand up when pushed into tough situations. That is good to see."

While the absence of Virat Kohli was noticeable, the leadership of Rohit Sharma played a pivotal role in guiding the team to victory.

Following a setback in the first test in Hyderabad, where India faced defeat, the team showcased remarkable resilience, bouncing back to win four consecutive matches.

"We did put runs in Hyderabad, but the way we came back with the ball in the next four games was brilliant."

India's victory in the series against England holds special significance as they became the first team to defeat England in a Test series under Brendon McCullum's tenure.

Looking ahead, the focus now shifts to the upcoming IPL 2024 and T20 World Cup 2024. With these major tournaments on the horizon, the Indian team and management are gearing up to continue their success on the international stage.
