Harmanpreet Kaur, the Mumbai Indians captain is one of the most brutal hitters of the cricket ball in women's cricket, and she showed all of that in her unbeaten 95 off just 48 balls against Gujarat Giants. She took her side over the line with her incredible knock and left GG completely shell-shocked as MI managed to score 47 in the last 17 balls.
Harmanpreet Kaur came out to bat at number 4 with MI in a bit of trouble as they lost two wickets at a score of 57 in the 8th over. They were chasing 191 so, the pressure was on the batters to keep the boundaries coming.
The MI captain though kept her cool and started cautiously with 20 off initial 21 balls but in the next 27 balls, she smashed 75 runs as she blasted Sneh Rana for 24 in a single over.
That 24 runs brought the equation down to 23 off 12 balls and Kaur continued her onslaught as she smashed two more sixes - one against Tanuja Kanwar and another against Ashleigh Gardner in the final over to seal the deal for MI.
Mumbai Indians with this 7-wicket win have become the first team to qualify for the playoffs and are truly playing like defending champions with all their key players delivering.
