Arshad Nadeem, the Pakistan Javelinist created history in Paris Olympic by bagging Gold Medal with his record breaking throw of 92.97. He defeated India's Neeraj Chopra who bagged the gold medal in the previous edition and the Indian star had to settle for the silver this time.

Naturally, there was a sense of disappointment all over the country, but it is still India's maiden Silver medal in Paris Olympics, and it is a moment of pride for the whole nation. Neeraj Chopra's mother too was proud of her son's efforts and showed big heart with her comment that the one who won the Gold medal is also her son.

Shoaib Akhtar Praises Neeraj Chopra's Mother

It won many hearts across both countries, and now Shoaib Akhtar, the former Pakistani fast bowler has also praised Neeraj Chopra's mother. The speedster posted on his official X handle that such kind words can only be said by a mother and called it amazing.

"Gold jis ka hai, wo bhi hamara he larka hai. Yeh baat sirf aik maa he keh sakti hai. Amazing."

It is Pakistan's first Gold medal in Olympics since 1984 and is surely a moment to cherish for the country that is not known to win lot of medals at the global event.
