Rain has played a spoilsport in the 2nd Test between India and Bangladesh as no play took place on day 2 at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. On day 1, India won the toss and opted to field first.

Bangladesh, batting first, lost two wickets early on, but Mominul Haque and Najmul Shanto's 51-run stand helped the Tigers put a decent score on the board till lunch. When the rain halted play after lunch, Bangladesh were 107/3, and since then, no play has taken place.

Talking about the match, opting to field was an unusual decision at the Green Park stadium, as India became the first team to field first at this stadium in 60 years. Meanwhile, former India cricketer turned analyst Sanjay Manjrekar has questioned Rohit's tactics.

Manjrekar questioned Rohit's decision to bring Ravindra Jadeja late to the action and not utilising him against left-handed batters. Manjrekar also took to Twitter to share a post and shared his stats against Alastair Cook during England's 2016 series with India where the left-arm all-rounder dominated the battle.

"Rohit needs to be shown this stat- JADEJA vs COOK, 2016 series: In 8 innings, got him out 6 times, conceded just 75 runs. Rohit tends to not bowl Jadeja early when there are left-landers out there," Manjrekar tweeted.

Manjrekar Questions Rohit, Virat After India's First Test Win

After India's historic 280-runs win against Bangladesh in the first Test at the Chepauk Stadium. He raised a concerning issue to highlight BCCI’s special treatment of senior players. Manjrekar opined that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli should have played the Duleep Trophy to get rid of the rust in the red ball format.

"I'm not worried, but I'm sure somebody made a note of the fact that they would have been better off had they played some red-ball cricket. There was the option of picking them in the Duleep Trophy."

Rohit and Virat are yet to fire in this series as they faltered for low scores in the Chepauk Test.
