India skipper Rohit Sharma has made a name for himself with his bold approach during the Powerplay in T20 cricket. His ability to dominate the first six overs sets him apart from many others in the game. Known for making use of the fielding restrictions, Rohit often puts the team in a strong position early on, something that has become a hallmark of his batting style. His impressive knock of 91 against Australia in the T20 World Cup 2024 further showcased his fearless attitude, especially when it comes to exploiting the Powerplay.

This aggressive approach hasn’t gone unnoticed. India Women opener, Shafali Verma, has expressed her admiration for Rohit’s tactics, revealing that she looks up to him and tries to emulate his Powerplay heroics in her own game.

In a recent interview with Star Sports, Shafali Verma expressed how Rohit Sharma’s utilization of the Powerplay inspires her.

“I would choose India's Rohit Sharma because the way he utilizes the Powerplay is memorable to watch. Even in the World Cup, there are 2-3 innings I can recall. I always feel good watching how he makes the most of the Powerplay,” said Shafali

The league-stage matches will be hosted in Dubai and Sharjah, with the opening match between Bangladesh and Scotland in Sharjah. The semi-finals are scheduled for October 17 in Dubai and October 18 in Sharjah, with the grand finale in Dubai on October 20.
