The final group stage showdown of IPL 2025 is here, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru locking horns with Lucknow Super Giants. In the crucial match, some noticeable changes in the RCB’s squad grabbed the attention.

After coming back, Josh Hazlewood is missing out on the clash. However, while assuring the fans, RCB’s stand-in skipper Jitesh Sharma confirmed his availability in the playoff stage.

After years of setbacks, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru have brought out their best form in the IPL 2025. After outstanding displays, they secured the playoff berth and are now eyeing the top 2 spot. But in the last few clashes, RCB’s standout bowler of the season, Josh Hazlewood, was a notable miss.

After the IPL resumed post-suspension, Josh Hazlewood joined the squad ahead of the match against LSG. As fans hoped for his comeback in the ongoing clash, the Aussie star missed out on being named in the playing XI. Addressing the growing concerns, RCB’s stand-in captain Jitesh Sharma assured Hazlewood will be ready for the playoffs.

“Josh Hazlewood will be back in the next game. He’s been one of our key bowlers, and it’s great to have him returning at such a critical stage,” Jitesh said.

Adding to this, Tim David, who has been a massive strength in RCB’s middle order, is missing out on the clash due to a hamstring injury. The RCB captain hinted at his comeback too. Their inclusion ahead of the playoffs will be a massive boost for the team.
