Indian batter, Suryakumar Yadav steered the team to a comprehensive seven-wicket win against the West Indies in what was a spectacular display of T20 cricket on Tuesday in Guyana. The victory was especially significant given the consecutive losses in the first two games, keeping India alive in the series.

Surya celebrated the win by bonding with Guyanese fans

The atmospheric Providence Stadium was left in awe as Surya struck a blazing 83 off just 44 balls. His innings was a perfect combination of grace and power, filled with 10 boundaries and four sixes at a strike rate of 188.64. The explosive performance was a sweet contrast to his earlier outings in the series and the preceding ODI series where his form was notably subdued.

While the 'Men in Blue' celebrated this hard-fought victory, what truly stood out post-match was the heartwarming interaction between Suryakumar and his fans in Guyana.

The top-ranked T20 batsman took time out to engage with the spectators, offering autographs and posing for photographs. The smiles were contagious, as fans, young and old, celebrated the unique opportunity to share a moment with a cricketing sensation.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) captured these memorable moments and shared a clip on Twitter.

The video, aptly captioned, "The fans in Guyana witnessed a SKY special in the 3rd #WIvIND T20I. Not much later, they got to meet the Player of the match @surya_14kumar himself #TeamIndia," instantly became a hit amongst netizens.

Although Yadav's journey in this series began with a promising 21 and was quickly overshadowed by a solitary run in the next match, his third T20I knock was a rousing reminder of his immense capabilities. As the visitors gear up for the final two T20Is, fans will be eagerly awaiting more such pyrotechnics from the 32-year-old.
