Veteran Pakistan batter Ahmed Shehzad has lashed out at the Pakistan team management following their seven-wicket defeat to South Africa in the second T20I on Friday. As the Proteas were already leading with 2-0 in the series, after the 3rd T20I on December 14 was abandoned due to rain, Pakistan lost the series without bagging a single game.

Shehzad, expressing his disappointment with the team's performance, publicly criticized the Pakistan team management. In a scathing social media post, he lamented the team's recurring failures and questioned the management's approach

Pakistan, despite posting a formidable 206/5 thanks to Saim Ayub's blistering 98, succumbed to a stunning century from Reeza Hendricks (117 off 63 balls) as South Africa chased down the target with three balls to spare.

Shehzad, expressing his disappointment, criticized the team management for failing to address persistent issues within the squad.

"To be honest it was a good game to watch as a spectator... but it felt like South Africa A and Pakistan A side were playing against each other with some players has the ability to fit in senior side from both the countries. If you know you know," Shehzad wrote on his X handle.

Shehzad further criticized Pakistan's management for their recent losses to South Africa and Australia, despite fielding a full-strength team against a weakened South African side.

"Just a reminder, 7 main players are absent from this South African side and we played with our full strength and we lost the series once again just like we lost against Australian kids in T20s few days ago. Pakistan cricket is dying everyday and everyone is sleeping from top to bottom. Shame."

This series defeat follows a 3-0 whitewash against Australia last month. Pakistan will now aim to avoid a clean sweep when they face South Africa in the third and final T20I on Saturday in Johannesburg. The two teams will then contest a three-match ODI series, commencing on December 17.
