Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan and fellow senior batter Babar Azam were spotted sharing a laugh at the dressing room amidst the rain delay before the toss in Johannesburg. The two cricketers are set to take field for the Pakistan cricket team at the city’s Wanderers Stadium for the third T20I of the three-match series against hosts South Africa.

Both Babar and Rizwan have failed to notch up a single notable score in the series, which eventually compounded in twin defeats for the ‘Men in Green’.

Babar Azam, Rizwan trolled for laughing at rain delay

Senior Pakistan batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were both subjected to some heavy trolling from cricket fans after they were spotted sharing a laugh at the rain delay in Johannesburg. While some fans shared hilarious memes by claiming that the two cricketers want to relax inside the dressing room instead, others found comfort in their shared joy amidst Pakistan’s disappointing series loss against the Proteas.

Here is a look at some of the fans reacting to Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan’s pre-match reaction:

Babar Azam was dismissed for a four-ball duck in the series-opening first T20I match in Durban earlier this week. Chasing 184 for a win, captain Mohammad Rizwan scored a sluggish 74 in the same match, and took 50 deliveries to bring up his half-century. The ‘Men in Green’ ended up losing the match by 11 runs.

In the very next match in Johannesburg, Rizwan made just 11 at the top of the order while Babar squandered away his confident start by getting out at 31. For South Africa, opener Reeza Hendricks belted a majestic 117 from 63 balls to steer his team to an emphatic seven-wicket victory in the final over.

With series out of the pocket, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will be aiming to salvage a consolation win in the third T20I, if rain gods permit some action at the Wanderers Stadium.
