Travis Head and India is a great love story which has been going around for the last 18 months. Across formats, Head has tormented the Indian side and has given sleepless nights to Rohit Sharma and the entire bowling unit.

He has been India's chief nemesis in the ongoing series as well. The southpaw scored a crucial fifty in the second innings of the Perth Test and followed it up with a scintillating 141-ball 140 in Adelaide. It was expected that the Indian bowlers would have found a way to deal with him, but that was not the case.

Head once again went berserk and smashed a quick-fire century to push India on the back-foot on Day 2 of Gabba Test. He forged a century partnership with Steve Smith and interestingly, scored most of the runs as the bowlers were made to look clueless.

Head breaks the Gabba jinx

Before the Test match, India had a ray of hope to stop Head as the left-handed batter had three golden ducks in the last three Tests at Gabba. However, to break the duck jinx, Head met India and the rest, as they say, is history.

From three ducks in a row at Gabba to a sizzling century, Head found his old groove back at this venue, where he averages more than 50. At the stroke of tea, Australia are 234/3, with Head at 103, and Steve Smith batting at 65.

Indian bowlers looked good in patches, but they couldn't solve the headache problem as Australia are in the driving seat.
