'Padosi Abhi Bhi Awaz..,' Irfan Pathan Mocks PAK after India's Asia Cup Win

Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan has been going around X, a social media platform, poking fun at Pakistan.

Following India's eighth Asia Cup title win, Pathan followed a similar routine, writing on X about Pakistan, who got knocked by Sri Lanka in the Super Four round of the tournament.

He mentioned that India's neighbours, indirectly referring to Pakistan, are still trying to make a ruckus, but their voices are not reaching Colombo, where India defeated Sri Lanka in the final of the Asia Cup 2023.

"Padosi abhi bhi Awaz Karne ki Koshish Kar rahe hai, Lekin Colombo Tak unki Awaaz pahoch nahi rahi hai," Pathan tweeted.


In one of his earlier tweets, the 38-year-old commented on India's domination in the recently-concluded Asia Cup, asking them to replicate such a performance in the upcoming World Cup.

"Asia jeeta Ab World ki taraf chalo. Well done Team India. No team came even close to full strength Indian team in this Asia cup🇮🇳 #AsiaCup," the cricketer-turned-commentator wrote on X.

Talking about the fixture, India plundered Sri Lanka without breaking any sweat. In a complete annihilation, the hosts were completely blown by Mohammed Siraj, who took a six-wicket haul. All Sri Lanka could manage was a total of 50 runs, 10th lowest in the ODIs.

India got home in 6.1 overs without the loss of any wicket, winning their eighth Asia Cup trophy.
