BCCI and PCB are engaged in a Cold War over the upcoming Champions Trophy in 2025. Pakistan have the hosting rights but the BCCI is unwilling to send India to the neighbouring country over security reasons.

Meanwhile, PCB are adamant on hosting the Champions Trophy at home and have reportedly rejected a hybrid model.

In the latest events, former Pakistan batter Younis Khan has requested Virat Kohli to come and play in Pakistan. Khan remarked that it is the only milestone left in Virat’s career.

“Virat Kohli should come to Pakistan for 2025 Champions Trophy. It is our wish too. I think the only thing left in Virat’s career is to tour Pakistan and perform,” Younis Khan to News 24.

Notably, Virat has not toured Pakistan in his career, as India last visited the neighbouring country in 2008. The only time Kohli went to Pakistan was with India’s Under-19 side in 2006.

Recently, Shahid Afridi too requested the Indian side to visit Pakistan and claimed that they would show a better hospitality than India.

"If Virat Kohli comes to Pakistan, he'll forget the hospitality of India. Virat has lots of fans in Pakistan, we're eager to see Virat play in Pakistan," Afridi  stated.

In the latest developments around Champions Trophy, ICC has reportedly handed extra money to PCB to arrange India’s game outside India.
