In an interesting news coming out regarding Champions Trophy 2025, ICC has now allotted supplementary expenses to the competition's budget if some matches are played out of Pakistan, the designated hosts of the tournament.

It means that PCB will get extra money to compensate for india's resistance to travel to Pakistan, and going how the things are shaping up, it seems that the Champions Trophy 2025 would be most likely played in a hybrid model just like Asia Cup 2023.

Also, PCB has now handed the responsibility of persuading BCCI to travel to Pakistan to the International Cricket Council (ICC). Also, the ICC will now be accountable for finalizing and announcing the tournament schedule which is tentatively scheduled to start on 19th of February according to the reports published earlier.

Also, a draft schedule that has been going around on social media had all India matches in Lahore to avoid security issues, but it all looks bleak for Pakistan at the moment with BCCI still reluctant on sending Men in Blue to the neighbouring country.

Pakistan are the reigning champions of the tournament that was last held in 2017, and if the even does happen in the country, it would be their first chance of hosting an ICC event since World Cup 1996.
