The IPL 2025 witnessed the best version of the Punjab Kings as the franchise brought out their best form and played the IPL final after years. As the entire squad gave their best to roar in the tournament, Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy demanded different praise. After lifting the trophy for the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024, he led Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final and ended up being a runner-up.
Be it the IPL or domestic stage, Shreyas Iyer, the captain, stands out just as much as Iyer the batter. His leadership consistently makes a difference in high-pressure tournaments. Recently, speaking to ANI, PBKS opener Priyansh Arya lauded Iyer and hailed him as one of the best leaders.
“You must have seen Captain Shreyas Iyer. He won the KKR final last year. I consider him to be one of the best leaders in cricket,” Arya said.
Arya Sets Sights On DPL Challenge
After making his IPL debut against the Gujarat Titans in this IPL, Priyansh Arya’s batting brilliance soon became the talk of the town. In 17 matches, he scored 475 runs along with a brilliant century against the Chennai Super Kings. Now, with his eyes set on the Delhi Premier League, Arya aims to have a successful campaign for the Outer Delhi Warriors
“I feel I should win for my team as much matches as I can. Every player plays with the responsibility of winning for the team. The same thing applies to last year’s team as well,” he added.
The Outer Delhi Warriors are set for their Delhi Premier League debut this season. With a star-studded squad, they are aiming to make a mark on the first season.
