India and England are set to play the fifth and final Test match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The match is scheduled to begin on July 31 at the Kennington Oval in London.

After the fourth Test ended in a draw at Old Trafford, the Indian team, led by Shubman Gill, has a good chance to finish the series tied. India showed strong fight in the last match, thanks to centuries from Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and Washington Sundar.

England, on the other hand, will be without two key players, captain Ben Stokes and fast bowler Jofra Archer. They’ve announced their playing XI, which includes new names like Jacob Bethell, Gus Atkinson, Jamie Overton, and Josh Tongue. England will be aiming to win the series 3-1.

Ahead of the match, let's take a look at the weather conditions at the Oval.

According to Accuweather.com, things don’t look good. The temperature is expected to be around 22°C, but there’s a very high chance of rain, about 91%. There’s also a 22% chance of thunderstorms, and the sky will mostly be cloudy with a 79% cloud cover.

The UK Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms on Thursday. This means heavy rain and possible storms could affect the match. Rain is expected right around the scheduled start of play, so the toss may be delayed.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the rain will stop any time soon. The forecast suggests there will be a 70-80% chance of rain throughout most of the day. Things may only improve near the end of the day.

Even in the afternoon, the chances of rain remain high, around 61%, with 60% cloud cover. So, all signs point to Day 1 possibly being washed out due to bad weather.
