'Not The Most Important Person': L Sivaramakrishnan Hits Back At R Ashwin

Laxman Sivaramakrishnan hit back at premier India and Rajasthan Royals (RR) off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in an ongoing feud between the two. The former India tweaker said Ashwin is "not the most important person in my life" when a Twitter user asked him "Did Ashwin call u back da Kanna".

It was a response to Ashwin's hilarious dig taken at Sivaramakrishnan for accusing the modern-day giant of carrying an ego and not picking up his call when he wanted to speak to him following the India legend's pair of great achievements, including the 100th Test and 500 wickets during the England series.

"Ok sir, after deciding when and where," Ashwin had said in response to one of his followers recently but with a pic containing Sivaramakrishnan and the message that said, "call me please". It was an indirect dig at the former India spinner and commentator, who has now thrown a jibe at the fellow Tamil Nadu bowler.

The interesting social media battle began when Sivaramakrishnan claimed Ashwin had disrespected him by not picking up his phone call where he said he meant to compliment the great off-spinner for his remarkable pair of feats achieved in the recent Test series.

Among the most well-behaved personalities on and off the field, Ashwin does indulge in cheeky and sarcastic humour on his social media feed and has always came across as someone with immense respect for former cricketers and his teammates.

However, the veteran would've noted down the number of jeering and distasteful remarks made by Sivaramakrishnan against him on his feed and perhaps gave him the taste of his own medicine when the latter came up with his allegations of facing ignorance and ego from the other end.
