The preparations for next season of IPL are in full swing. Jeddah will host the much-awaited mega-auction on November 24 and 25. Meanwhile, the fans await the official list of players who have registered for the mega-event.
On Tuesday, November 5, the BCCI revealed that 1574 players have registered for the upcoming mega-auction, which included 409 overseas players. The upcoming auction will see the likes of Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul, who have been released by their franchises and are touted to bag the highest money in the auction.

Meanwhile, former India opener turned analyst Aakash Chopra too has opined on the mega-auction and picked Rishabh Pant to fetch the most money in the mega-auction.
Chopra not only predicted for Pant to bag the most money in the IPL 2025 mega-auction but also break banks and become the highest-paid player in the history of IPL.
“The big thing is who all have kept themselves in the Rs 2 crore bracket. A lot of Indian players, including KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. Pant could be the most expensive player in IPL history. He can go above 25-26 crores,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.
Chopra Predicts RCB And PBKS To Fight For Pant
At present, Mitchell Starc is the most expensive player in IPL history, as KKR bought him for 24.75 crores during the IPL 2024 mini-auction. However, the defending champions have released Starc ahead of the upcoming season, and the Australian has reportedly registered his name for the mega-auction.
“I can see at least three teams going absolutely hammer and tongs. One (PBKS) has 110 crores and another (RCB) has 83 crores. I feel a lot of money will be spent when they fight amongst themselves,” Chopra concluded.
