The Barbados Royals are taking on the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the 18th match of the CPL 2024. This game is being played at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. 

The Royals won the toss in this game and put the Patriots to bat first. The Patriots would have hoped for a solid start from their openers, Evin Lewis and Andre Fletcher. The duo started cautiously and was looking to progress on a steady note. 

Naveen ul Haq picked broke the opening patrnership of Patriots

However, the partnership was broken before the duo got dangerous. Evin Lewis, who has already scored a hundred in the tournament, fell prey to Naveen ul Haq's clever bowling in the fourth over of the innings. 

On the third ball of the over, Naveen ul Haq bowled a full delivery that was shaping away from the batter. Evin Lewis was trying to play the ball on the line and was looking to flick it over the square leg fence. However, the late movement beat Lewis, and he ended up top-edging the ball. Fielding at short third man, Obed McCoy tracked back and took the catch comfortably to send Lewis back to the hut. 

At the time of writing, the Patriots have lost three more wickets and are struggling at 49/4 in 7.2 overs.
