'My Brother Always Talks About Him': Rahmanullah Gurbaz Expresses Family Admiration For Babar Azam

A role model for batters coming out of the Asian subcontinent, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam's stature continues to grow with each passing day. Afghanistan's hard-hitting wicket-keeper batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz has expressed his admiration for Azam.

Gurbaz and Azam are featuring in the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023 for Jaffna Kings and Colombo Strikers, respectively.  As quoted by Cricket Pakistan, the 21-year-old explained how not only he but the whole Gurbaz family is a fan of Azam, including his younger brother, who also plays cricket.

Here's what Gurbaz said

"Yes my brother always talks about Babar with me and he asked that please take one shirt from Babar for me and I said ok, so he loves Babar. My brother plays good cricket, so yeah his favourite player is Babar.

Babar is the most favourite player for the younger stars, especially for me. I like his batting and the way he bats, I can see he's a legend right now."

Speaking of Azam, the Strikers batter is the leading run-getter in LPL 2023 with 235 runs at an average of 47.  Gurbaz, on the other hand, has managed 131 runs in six matches, with one fifty.
