Yuzvendra Chahal is the leading wicket-taker in the history of IPL, but surprisingly, Rajasthan Royals did not retain him ahead of the mega auction for IPL 2025. He did brilliantly for them in the last three seasons and bowled at different junctures, making him a key asset for RR in pressure situations.
However, he will go into the auction now, and there would be lot of teams looking to buy the leg-spinner. He is a reliable bowler and has the potential to deliver in different junctures, so expect him to go at a high price. Now, Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel has stated that Mumbai Indians will surely go for Yuzvendra Chahal in the upcoming auction as they need a reliable spinner and it was their bowling that let them down in the last season.
"Their batting has become strong once again. The problem is that they have only one bowler, who is a four-over bank, but you need more bowlers. Bowling let them down last time as well. They used to score runs, 225 to 250, but used to concede that many as well."

Aakash Chopra Backs MI To Gor For Washington Sundar
Aakash Chopra mentioned that the over-dependence on batting has hurt Mumbai Indians in recent past and they would be looking for couple of Indian spinners along with overseas bowlers. He also added that they might also opt for Washington Sundar to strengthen their spin department.
"So they had so much over-dependence on the batting to fire and scoring 20-40 runs above par every time is a bit too much. They might have an entire Indian batting lineup and an overseas bowling lineup, with a couple of Indian spinners. They will definitely go after Yuzi Chahal. I don't know whether they will get him or not. They might want to keep Washington Sundar."
The mega auction for IPL 2025 will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and November 25.
