Being a great captain and a great leader are not necessarily the same thing. While a great leader can also be a great captain, it's not guaranteed that a great captain possesses the qualities of a great leader.

However, the captain of the Indian national team Rohit Sharma excels in both roles. He is known for his calm and composed demeanor, and he takes care to understand each player's role, utilizing them to their fullest potential.

Rohit's 2019 World Cup opening partner KL Rahul is full of praise of his captain Rohit Sharma in a an interview with Ashwin on YouTube.

Rohit Sharma is widely regarded as one of the most beloved leaders in the Indian team, following in the footsteps of MS Dhoni. Both fans and players admire him greatly. Many instances have occurred where his teammates have publicly praised his exceptional leadership qualities.

KL Rahul is the latest to speak out about India's "Hitman" and his outstanding leadership skills.

"Rohit Sharma brings the calmness in India's dressing room and that helps players a lot. He makes sure that players understand their role and have enough time to adjust. He just makes everyone feel comfortable in the team," KL Rahul spoke Ashwin's YouTube channel.

Fans were surprised and furious when Mumbai Indians replaced Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya as captain. Even former players came out in defense of Rohit.

Suresh Raina was among the first to show solidarity, stating that Rohit is a leader with or without the captain's armband.

Many players echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Rohit's understanding of his teammates and his unwavering support for them.

With Rohit Sharma leading India in another ICC tournament, hopes are super high as players are eager to pay tribute to both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli with a title win.
