Two teams, Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI), positioned at the bottom of the points table, are set to clash at Mullanpur’s Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium on April 18.

This high-octane clash marks their first meeting since last year. In their previous encounter, MI was led by Rohit Sharma while PBKS was led by Shikhar Dhawan. However, circumstances have shifted significantly since then. Rohit is no longer the captain, and although Dhawan continues to lead PBKS, he will be unavailable for this game due to injury.

Hilarious act between Rohit and Dhawan

During their last meeting, Rohit won the toss and opted to bowl first. Before making his decision, he sought Dhawan's input. Dhawan advised bowling first, and Rohit, with a broad smile, complied.

"Kya karun bata," Rohit asked. To which Dhawan replied, "Bowling kar le."

When questioned about his decision by the toss presenter, Rohit responded:

"I asked him what to do. He suggested bowling first, so we will do just that. It’s a good pitch, and we have chased down targets effectively, so we will stick to our strengths. Having a score on the board is crucial on such pitches. Maintaining balance is important; we've played enough IPL games to know that things can change quickly."

Rohit's playful interaction with Dhawan quickly became a trending topic online, capturing the attention of social media users. The IPL's official social media handle also shared a video of their lighthearted exchange.

With a history of playing together for India and against each other in the IPL, Rohit and Dhawan share a strong camaraderie, evident during the toss time last year. Known for their jovial personalities, both players added a touch of fun to the proceedings.

Mullanpur has witnessed thrilling contests throughout the tournament, and we could well be in for another tight 40 overs of IPL cricket, but the fun banter between Rohit and Dhawan will be dearly missed in this game.
