Mumbai Indians are not having a good time in IPL 2025, with only 2 victories from 6 games till now. In the midst of all this, a die-hard Rohit Sharma fan made a daring move when team owner Nita Ambani visited the Shirdi temple.
Rohit Sharma was removed as MI captain ahead of IPL 2024, and Hardik Pandya took over. However, under Hardik, Mumbai finished last in 2024 and is again struggling this season. After 6 matches, they sit in 7th place on the points table.
Amid this, a die-hard Rohit fan approached MI owner Nita Ambani directly to seek a change in leadership.
Nita Ambani’s Hilarious Response To Rohit Sharma Fan’s Plea
Recently, Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani visited the holy Shirdi Temple in Nashik. As she was leaving the shrine, the fan folded his hands and said, “Rohit Sharma ko captain banao” (Make Rohit Sharma the captain).
In response, Nita smiled and replied, “Baba ki marzi” (It’s in God’s hands), leaving the crowd amused. The interaction has gone viral on social media as users lauded the fan’s loyalty towards Rohit.

Coming back to the season, MI’s journey has been shaky as they lost their first 2 games, then beat the KKR at home. But 2 more losses followed, including one against RCB, who won at Wankhede for the first time in 10 years. MI bounced back by defeating DC by 12 runs, ending DC's winning streak.
Despite the poor form, MI management continues to support Hardik Pandya. Meanwhile, Rohit’s own performance has dipped. In 5 matches, he’s scored just 56 runs at an average of 11.20. He hasn’t scored more than 20 in a single game this season and has even been used as an impact substitute twice.
As Mumbai gears up to play their next two matches at home, against SRH and CSK, fans are wondering if a change in captaincy could turn things around. But for now, MI seems to be sticking with Hardik, and Nita Ambani is leaving it up to fate.
