CSK exhibited a complete performance against the Gujarat Titans, showing their supremacy in batting, bowling, and fielding. This standout display marks one of the most complete performances witnessed in this IPL season thus far. While teams often hit their peak later in the tournament, Chennai appears to have hit their peak early, excelling in every aspect of the game.

Amidst their stellar performance, one player, Shivam Dube, stood out across both games. CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad attributed Dube's impressive showing to the mentorship and development provided by MS Dhoni.

Gaikwad expressed uncertainty regarding the behavior of the Chennai wicket, indicating that the toss held less significance for him. Regardless, he emphasized the importance of the team bringing their best performance, especially at Chepauk during the initial phase of the games. As the tournament progresses, Chepauk tends to slow down, making it essential for teams to adapt accordingly to secure victories.

Dhoni and CSK management worked on Dube

Dube has emerged as CSK's best player so far, delivering stellar performances in both matches and significantly impacting the game upon stepping onto the field to bat. Ruturaj acknowledges Dhoni and the management for Dube's improvement.  When many anticipated Dube's struggle in the two-bouncer rule season, he defied expectations with exceptional performances.

"Personally felt, Rachin batted brilliantly in the powerplay and took the game away. From there we were always ahead. [on Dube] In terms of confidence, the management and Mahi bhai worked with him personally, his confidence is very high. He knows his roles very well. Definitely he is a big plus for us. I'm impressed with the fielding as well. Maybe one or two youngsters we have extra this year and great effort from Jinks, even in the last game he was running from one end to the other. Fielding is a big tick for us. "

CSK will enjoy a four-day break before facing DC in their first away game at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday.
