In a rain-affected match, Australia secured a 28-run victory over Bangladesh via the DLS method. Bangladesh, batting first, managed to score only 140-8 in 20 overs on a batting-friendly wicket.

Despite the conditions favoring the batsmen, Bangladesh's underwhelming performance set the stage for an anticipated Australian win.

Australia was comfortably cruising towards their target of 141 when rain interrupted their innings at 100-2 in 11.2 overs. David Warner played a blistering unbeaten half-century, scoring 53 runs off just 35 balls.

The match concluded with Australia winning by 28 runs due to the rain interruption confirming their victory.

Bangladesh's batting performance fell short, with captain Najmul Shanto expressing disappointment over their inability to post a higher score.

Apart from Towhid Hridoy, who scored 40 off 28 balls, and Shanto himself, with 41 off 36 balls, none of the other Bangladeshi batsmen made significant contributions. Pat Cummins' hat-trick further tilted the game in Australia's favour.

"It's very important for the top-order to get runs like we did today, that's a big boost, hopefully the bowlers will continue their form. Looking for a good show against India in our next match "-Shanto said post game.

In his post-game speech, Najmul Shanto expressed hope for a comeback in the next game against India.

Bangladesh will face in form India tomorrow at 8 PM IST at Sir Vivian Richards stadium.
