Avesh Khan is rated quite highly in Indian cricket, he has pace and skills and has done well in domestic cricket for Madhya Pradesh for quite a few years now. On the international scene too, he has done decently, but has not made his debut in Test cricket, something which he is now targetting going by his words in a video released by BCCI.

Avesh Khan's Open Message To Indian Selectors

The fast bowler stated that he is excited to play Test cricket and added that it is one format where he can prove himself and he has done well in red-ball cricket for his state and India A too. He mentioned that he bowls lot of overs for his state team and he loves doing that and he is looking forward to get a chance in Indian whites and do well for the country.

I’m very excited for Test cricket as I feel it’s a format where I can prove myself which I’ve done for my state team, India A or while Duleep, Deodhar trophy. I’m waiting for that chance as there’s a different kind of fun playing Test cricket. I love to bowl with the red ball as I bowl around 20-25 overs in a day for my state team as well. In the entire season I bowl around 300-350 overs so I’m looking forward for a chance to play Test cricket and do well for my country in the longest format.”

Avesh Khan is currently playing for India in the Zimbabwe series and was among the reserves in the recently held T20 World Cup in Caribbean and USA.
