Yashasvi Jaiswal, India’s prodigy and an asset for the team in Test and ODI cricket, has shared a shocking revelation on the hardest-working person in the team. As per Jaiswal, Shubman Gill is the most disciplined and hard-working person he has ever met.

While Virat Kohli comes up every time as the epitome of fitness and perfection, even at the age of 37, Jaiswal shared glaring details of Gill’s regime that spoke otherwise to pick the India Test and ODI skipper over the RCB legend.

Jaiswal praises Gill’s dedication and hard work

Speaking at Agenda Aaj Tak, Jaiswal was all praise for Shubman Gill’s diet, skills and training regime that entices him in every aspect.

"Shubman Gill. I have seen him very closely recently. He works hard a lot, and is also very consistent with his routines. (He) works a lot on his fitness, diet, skills and training. It is unbelievable. I enjoy a lot watching him and playing with him. He is an amazing man as well," Jaiswal said on Agenda Aaj Tak.

Despite what netizens say, Jaiswal backed his captain while citing Gill’s England Test tour, where he averaged 75.40 from 10 innings.

"He batted superbly and sensibly during the England Test series. We believed in him that he would perform in every situation," Jaiswal added.

This praise comes after a challenging tour for Jaiswal. In India's 2-0 Test series loss to South Africa, their first defeat there in 25 years, he managed only 83 runs across four innings.

He later got a chance in the ODI series after Gill was injured. After modest scores in the first two games, Yashasvi Jaiswal shone in the decider, scoring an ODI century with an unbeaten 116 to help India win the series 2-1.
