As the Border-Gavaskar Trophy approaches, the war of words has begun from the Australian media and former cricketers. The latest Australian to comment on the Indian team is legendary fast bowler Brett Lee, who has issued a stern warning for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Under Rohit Sharma's leadership, India are preparing to take on Australia in the highly anticipated five-match Test series. Ahead of the opening encounter in Perth, former Australian pacer Brett Lee revealed that the hosts could capitalise on Rohit and Kohli's poor recent form, urging them to fine-tune their game against fast bowling.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Lee reckoned that Rohit and Virat Kohli's recent rough patch might keep them under the pump against Australia's rampant pace battery in Down Under.

As the iconic seamer put it, the talismanic Indian batting duo should assess their grey areas and fix them before it's too late.

"When you have a couple of bad runs back-to-back, that's when the pressure could set in. I guess the thing now is someone like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma just have to go back to the drawing board. Work on that technique, freshen up, get away from cricket as much as they can and then hit the ground running when they go to Australia, because I can promise you - these Australian fast bowlers will attack Rohit Sharma with that brand new ball," Brett Lee was quoted as saying by TOI.

Perth's Seam-Friendly Pitch To Challenge Indian Batters

Brett Lee is absolutely spot on regarding the analysis, as Australia will likely prepare a seam-friendly track for the first Test in Perth. According to emerging reports, the pitch will have a 10mm grass covering, offering pace, bounce and seam movement to the fast bowlers and posing a severe threat to the batters from both sides. In such a scenario, Virat Kohli will be on focus, considering Rohit Sharma is likely to miss the encounter due to personal reasons.
