Australian sensation Sam Konstas is living every teenager's dream. At just 19, he’s already taken the cricket world by storm, and not just with his bat. The Aussie firecracker had a memorable Border-Gavaskar Trophy as he made headlines for taking on India’s Jasprit Bumrah and clashing with Virat Kohli. And now, Konstas has finally shared his side of the story.

Sam Konstas Opened Up On His Heated Moments With Jasprit Bumrah

Sam Konstas didn’t hold back against Bumrah, smashing the Indian spearhead for boundaries with cheeky strokes, including a reverse ramp. It was daring and had the fans buzzing. But pushing a bowler like Bumrah has its risks.

The pacer came back with a blistering spell in the next game, removing Usman Khawaja on the final ball of the day and celebrating right in Konstas’ face after the youngster was involved in an argument with the veteran right before the delivery.

The teenager didn’t shy away from admitting his role in the drama. "Oh, I didn’t get too fazed," he said.

"Unfortunately, Uzi got out. He was trying to buy some time a little bit. It was probably my fault, but it happens. It’s cricket," added Konstas.

However, Konstas gave credit where it was due.

"Credit to Bumrah. He got the wicket, but obviously great performance from the team," concluded the 19-year-old.

A Heated Moment With Kohli

As if facing Bumrah wasn’t enough, Konstas also had a run-in with his idol Virat Kohli. During the fourth Test in MCG, a collision between the two led to sparks flying. Kohli’s aggressive persona came to the fore as he tried to rattle the youngster, but Konstas stood firm.

The incident didn’t go unnoticed. Kohli was slapped with a 20% match fee fine and a demerit point, with fans accusing him of trying to bully the teenager. Konstas, however, kept his cool and let his cricket do the talking.

Meanwhile, Konstas wasn’t just in the limelight for his clashes. He delivered with the bat also, helping Australia reclaim the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with a 3-1 win.

With Australia sealing a spot in the World Test Championship final, Konstas now turns his attention to the Big Bash League. He’ll be back in action for the Sydney Thunder, and if his Test heroics are anything to go by, he’s going to set the tournament on fire.
