Despite being over 30 and recovering from a knee injury, Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry has no intentions of ending her illustrious cricket career.

Having made her international debut at the age of 16 in 2008, Perry has established herself as one of the world's most accomplished cricketers. Her accolades include numerous World Cups, two Ashes series victories, and the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. She has also been recognized twice as the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year.

Recently signing a two-year contract with Sydney Sixers' WBBL club, Perry remains undaunted by her knee ailment, sustained during Australia's second ODI against Ireland.

"It is pure speculation to know what happens in a couple years' time but from my perspective, I still love being involved. In terms of motivation, it's still exactly the same, if not more. In a lot of senses, it's (women's sport) arrived and things just become more and more exciting every year,"  Ellyse Perry was quoted as saying by Cricket Australia.

Following a notable Ashes campaign and the resounding response it garnered from the spectators, Perry's commitment is steadfast.

"After our Ashes campaign over in the UK and the way that that was followed, the crowd numbers that we drew, the level of competition that it presented - it's hard not to want to be involved for as long as possible," Perry concluded.

Perry is presently engaged in rehab for the knee injury she sustained during the Ireland tour. Despite excelling with the bat during the Ashes, the seam-bowling all-rounder missed the final ODI of the Ireland series and had to withdraw from the Birmingham Phoenix squad in the ongoing Women's Hundred season.

While speculation looms about her future, Perry's dedication to play the game remains unwavering.
