India's rising star Rinku Singh has opened up on his desire to bat alongside Virat Kohli. The southpaw, who rose to fame with KKR, has featured for India on numerous occasions but is yet to bat with Virat.
Rinku has played 20 T20Is and two ODIs for India, but never got the opportunity to play alongside his idol.
It is not a hidden fact that the UP-based cricketer is a big fan of Kohli and his body of work, as Rinku has often hogged the internet for his desire to have Virat's bat in his kit bag.
Recently, the 26-year-old also revealed that he would love to play for RCB while answering a hypothetical question that asked him to pick a team, case he was to be released from KKR.
The reason behind Singh naming RCB was to play alongside Virat.
It is worth noting that the only way left for Rinku to bat alongside Virat is in ODIs and Test, as Virat has announced his retirement.
Rinku Singh's Desire To Play Test Cricket
Recently, Rinku also opened up on his desire to play Test cricket as he is yet to make his India debut in red-ball cricket.
“I want to play all three formats of the game. I like playing Test cricket a lot. My batting average in red-ball cricket is 55. Mujhe bahut pasand hai laal ball khelna. Bahut maja ata hai mujhe khelne mein. Test cricket is very big cricket. White-ball to sab khelte hai magar Test khelna bahut badi baat hai aaj ke time mein. Toh vo mai khelna chahunga,” Rinku said.
