Royal Challengers Bengaluru's prominent batter, Anuj Rawat, has expressed his desire to represent Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Regarded highly for his explosive batting, Rawat has been a vital cog in the RCB setup. After a torrid run in 2022, the left-handed batter showcased his batting mettle, playing some scintillating cameos for the franchise. 

Besides a glorious 48-run knock against CSK, Rawat grabbed the eyeballs through a breezy 14-ball 25* in the high-scoring affair against Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, despite living up to his potential, Rawat might be released to the mega auction pool due to limited retention spots. 

Meanwhile, the swashbuckling southpaw has shown interest in being a part of the Super Kings squad. 

Speaking to CricketNext, Anuj Rawat revealed his wish to play for the five-time champions if RCB doesn't retain him. 

"Whoever has played for RCB once wants to play for them forever. But if not RCB, then I want to play for CSK because MS Dhoni is there. He has a different personality, and all the players talk about him," Anuj Rawat said.

Anuj Rawat exhibited sublime batting form in the recently-held Delhi Premier League. He amassed 356 runs in ten innings at a blistering strike rate of 156.83, playing an instrumental role in East Delhi Riders' triumphant campaign. 

Although he failed to perform in the final, his scintillating 66-ball 121* helped the Riders secure a much-needed win over Purani Dilli-6 in the competition. Given his batting exploits in the DPL 2024, Rawat could attract several franchises in the 2025 mega auction.
