Kohli was an absolute beast, notching up an unbeaten 122 runs, while Rahul, on his comeback, smashed an unbeaten 111 runs, making it a match to remember. Thanks to their unbeaten 233-run partnership, India wrapped up their batting innings with a whopping 356 runs on the scoreboard. Pakistan, in reply couldn't even muster half of that, getting bowled out for just 128 runs.
Kuldeep Yadav was the real MVP for India on the bowling front, scoring a fantastic five-wicket haul. Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Mohammed Siraj weren't slacking either as they were on point with their deliveries. All in all, the Men in Blue are riding a hot streak and ready to keep it rolling in the next game against Sri Lanka, who have been untouchable so far.
Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, have been on fire lately, notching up a streak of 13 consecutive ODI wins. They are also the undefeated team of this tournament alongside India, rolling in after smacking Bangladesh with a 21-run win in the Super 4 encounter. However, now they are up against India, which is their ultimate challenge. It will be interesting to see if they have got what it takes to make it 14th win in a row.

A major win for Sri Lanka is that they have been playing without their star players, who had to bow out of the tournament for various reasons. But despite this setback, Sri Lanka has been ruling the roost. Their standout performance has been in the bowling department, where talents like Maheesh Theekshana, Matheesha Pathirana, Dunith Wellalage, and captain Dasun Shanaka have stepped up to the plate.
When it comes to their batting lineup, the Lankans have got the likes of Pathum Nissanka, Dimuth Karunaratne, and Kusal Mendis, and all of them need to bring their A-game as taking on India's deadly bowlers won't be a walk in the park.

R. Premadasa Stadium, Pitch Report
The R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo boasts a well-rounded pitch, where the average first-innings hovers around 238 runs. All in all, it’s a sporting pitch, offering a fair balance between bat and ball, making the toss winner's decision to bat or bowl highly dependent on the ground conditions. But looking at the track record, the team batting first have been more successful here of late.
