Chennai Super Kings' rising star, 20-year-old Sameer Rizvi, has captured the cricketing world’s attention with his recent performances and candid reflections on his interactions with Indian cricket legend, Virat Kohli.

Now leading the Kanpur Superstars in the UPT20 League 2024, Rizvi’s form on the field has been electric, but it’s his off-field experiences with Kohli during the IPL 2024 have left a huge mark on him.

Reflecting on his debut season in the IPL, where he made headlines by smashing two sixes off Rashid Khan, Sameer Rizvi shared his admiration for Kohli’s humility and willingness to mentor younger players.

"Virat Kohli is an amazing person. Whenever I talk to him, he always speaks so nicely and explains everything to me so well, I love talking to him. I did not feel at all that I was talking to such a big legend. I liked his nature very much. He talked to me with simplicity. I had asked him a question about batting," Rizvi said, as quoted by News 24.
