In a dramatic and intense semi-final clash of the Zimbabwe Cricket Women's T20 Cup, the captain of Zimbabwe Women Under-19s, Kelis Ndhlovu, delivered an extraordinary performance, claiming five wickets in a single over to secure a stunning seven-run victory over the Eagles Women.

The semi-final played at Bulawayo, where the Zimbabwe Women Under-19s set a modest target of 113 runs. After a challenging innings, the Under-19s were bowled out for 112 in 18.1 overs, with Christine Mutasa top-scoring with a quickfire 42 off 23 balls.

Zimbabwe Women Shock The Eagles

Despite the valiant efforts of Eagles' bowlers, including two wickets each from Michelle Mavunga, Precious Marange, and Christabel Chatonzwa, Zimbabwe struggled to build momentum.

In response, the Eagles Women got off to a shaky start, losing early wickets. However, a resilient partnership between Christabel Chatonzwa (29 off 38) and Kawthar Padya (26 off 34) brought the Eagles to the target.

With the scoreboard reading 104-5 after 18 overs, the Eagles needed nine runs from 12 balls with five wickets in hand. The match seemed all but over, with the Eagles holding the upper hand.

In what can only be described as one of the most electrifying overs in the history of cricket, Kelis Ndhlovu stepped up to bowl the 19th over.

Ndhlovu immediately made an impact, dismissing the set batter Chatonzwa on the second ball, clean bowled for 29. This was followed by a flurry of wickets, with Ndhlovu dismissing Esther Mbofana, Mitchel Chivare, Ropafadzo Mavunga, and Rebecca Chikomborero in consecutive deliveries, completing a remarkable five-wicket over.

Ndhlovu's final figures read an incredible 6/17 in 4 overs, including the match-changing five-wicket burst that saw the Eagles Women bowled out for 105, falling agonizingly short of the target by just seven runs.

The Zimbabwe Women Under-19s victory over the Eagles Women helped them advance to the final of the Zimbabwe Cricket Women's T20 Cup, where they faced the Tuskers Women. However, they lost the final by eight wickets.
