Wimbledon is in full swing, and several prominent cricketers ike Brian Lara, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Joe Root, have been spotted watching matches live from the court. Now, Suryakumar Yadav is the latest addition to that list. He was seen watching the game with his wife, Devisha Shetty, and donned a white blazer and black sunglasses to complete a dashing look.

Suryakumar Yadav Opens Up On His Inspiration Novak Djokovic

Now, in a video released by Star Sports, Suryakumar Yadav is seen talking about his favourite Tennis player, Novak Djokovic. He mentions that he has been following Djokovic's career for a long time, and has been inspired by the book - 'Serve To Win'.

The Indian cricketer added that he tries to relate his journey to Djokovic as he has been a late bloomer and made his debut in his 30s. Djokovic is also known for his never-say die attitude and is going strong in his 30s.

"Novak Djokovic, I have been following his career from a very long time. I have read his book, S'erve to Win'. I got really inspired from that because I also made my international debut a little later in my 30s. I am sure he didn't make it in 30s but the way he is going, I have been trying to relate his journey to mine."

Suryakumar Yadav Keen To Add Another Funky Shot To His Arsenal

Suryakumar Yadav was then asked about a Tennis shot that he would like to replicate in cricket. In reply, the Indian 360-degree batter recalls the 'Tweener' shot, which the players play running backwards between their legs and added that he would like to hit a boundary off that shot.

"It's little difficult to but definitely I watched this game on television. I feel that shot which they play running backwards between those two legs, I think it's called a Tweener. Yeah That Shot I definitely want to try in cricket, to play a shot between my two legs and I get a boundary. So, maybe someday."

Overall, it was a typical Suryakumar Yadav interaction where he stayed true to his nature of 360-degree batting. He has now decided to try out a new funky shot straight from the Tennis book, and it would be interesting to see if he can replicate that on the cricket field.
