"Really delighted that I got to play and most importantly that we won the match. Got the Player of the Match in the first game. It's been a long journey and I have dreamt of seeing myself play (for India) so many times. It feels really good,” said Jaiswal.

The Mumbai-based batter hoped that this is just the start of a remarkable journey, and he can continue to make valuable contributions to the team. He also expressed gratitude to his supporters for their encouragement.

“Hopefully, this is just the beginning and by God's grace, I hope I keep on contributing well for the team. This is going to be memorable. Thank you God and thank you guys for all your love and support," concluded the young opener.

Meanwhile, India's commanding victory in Dominica has provided an ideal kick-off to their journey in the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. Eager to carry forward his good form, Jaiswal will be keen on helping the team seal a comprehensive series win against West Indies by winning the second Test slated to commence on Thursday, July 20, in Trinidad.
