Continuing their stellar performance in the Caribbean, India crushed West Indies by an innings and 141 runs in the first Test at the Windsor Park in Dominica. After declaring their first innings on 421 for five, the visitors bowled out West Indies for a paltry 130, riding on a sensational seven-wicket haul from Ravichandran Ashwin.

The third session began with West Indies being in a spot of bother, placed at 27 for two, with Raymon Reifer and Jermaine Blackwood unbeaten on single-digit scores in the middle. They suffered a massive setback within just four overs into the session, losing Blackwood to Ashwin's guile. Jadeja jolted the hosts with another significant blow, dismissing Reifer in the next over.

Although Joshua Da Silva and Alick Athanaze kept India at bay for a while, Mohammed Siraj trapped the former plumb in front of the stumps in the 30th over to break the stand. Athanaze followed Da Silva's footsteps, making his way back to the hut as Ashwin's third victim.

After adding 22 runs with former captain Holder, Alzarri Joseph became Ashwin's fourth wicket of the day for 13. The wily craftsman continued his onslaught on West Indies, adding two more scalps to his tally in the form of Cornwall and Kemar Roach.

Jomel Warrican struck a quick-fire 18, but it could only reduce the deficit as the hosts were bowled out for a meagre 130 in their second innings.
