Rohit said that he never bats with a fixed target in mind. “Whenever I bat, I don’t think of a target,” he explained. Rohit said. "Sometimes you underachieve when you put the target. Go and bat. Assess the situation. If you feel you can take it, take it on."

Talking about the pressure of big matches like finals, Rohit admitted that nerves are natural in the same video.
"When we are playing these kinds of games, whether it's final of the World Cup, of course, there are nerves. You know, you want to win, you want to play well, you want to perform," he added.
"You know, the experience of playing for India for so many years, being there also helps. You can control your emotions, you can control your thoughts and be in the moment."
A month before the England Test series, Rohit made a big announcement, he retired from Test cricket. On May 7, he shared the news through an Instagram post, thanking fans and saying goodbye to the longest format of the game.
Earlier, Rohit had also stepped away from T20 internationals after winning the T20 World Cup last year. Now, he plans to focus only on One Day Internationals (ODIs). However, with fewer ODIs being played these days, fans may see less of him in an India jersey going forward.
That said, Rohit is expected to play in India’s upcoming ODI series against Bangladesh, starting on August 17. The series will include three ODIs and three T20Is. The first two ODIs are scheduled to take place in Dhaka at the Shere Bangla National Stadium.
Notably, Both Rohit and Virat Kohli are likely to return for this series, bringing some star power back to the squad.
